Club History

The Morningside Scottish Country Dance Club is lucky enough to have an extensive collection of old correspondence and a number of long-standing members with a keen interest in its history. Jane Peacock has taken the time to research and compile this very detailed history of the Club and Robin Howie kindly edited it. Recently the decision was taken by Club members to give the original copies of all paperwork and correspondence to The RSCDS archive, where it will be digitised and kept safe and available for future researchers. This is as much a social history as a record of a club which has evolved over more than sixty years and it is fascinating.
